Summer Outdoor Movie Nights kicks-off in Mountain View’s Cuesta Park, located at 615 Cuesta Drive TONIGHT – July 16th at 8:30 pm. Enjoy a free movie under the stars with neighbors and friends. We never grow tired of great ideas to customize a home in order to make it your own at Gables End. Moving can be difficult for little ones. Embrace Your Inner Child At The NASA Ames Research Center

I don’t have any children, but every now and then my inner child wants to come out and play. When this happens I try to find reasons that will appease my dignity and still allow me to indulge. Over the last week I unexpectedly had a day off during the week so I decided to continue my Mountain View exploration. This naturally, led me to the NASA Ames Research Center at Moffett Federal Airfield. And when I set foot inside I was definitely in the right place to appease my inner child and I told my sense of dignity that it was educational. I call that a win-win.

Most of the museum is geared towards a young audience, but that was what made it so much fun. There is so much in this universe besides our own little planet that it almost requires a childlike sense of wonder to take it all in. So maybe aiming it at education children really is the best way to get the message across to everyone

Taking the quizzes reminded me of why it was educational, as I clearly need a brush up, and spending time really examining all of the bits of light beyond our moon was exciting. I felt transported to a place where my questions were almost limitless and for a little while I forgot the outside world.

There were plenty of actual children present and I have to think this would be a great place to have a field trip or other such outing. Also, if I had children I think I would want to bring them here and go through the whole thing with them to see how they take it in and watch the wonder on their faces turn to understanding and fuel even more questions. One day.
